Ariel Birdie

Ariel Birdie is a Bitcoin artist whose work explores the intersection of mythology, culture, and decentralized technology. With a background in anthropology, she draws inspiration from ancient civilizations, symbolic language, and artistic traditions that reflect humanity’s shared history.

Her artistic practice began later in life, evolving into a meditative process rooted in discipline, detail, and connection to nature. Through hand-drawn and hand-gilded works, she creates intricate compositions that echo both classical forms and contemporary ideas.

Her “Gods of Bitcoin” series, launched in 2020, embodies these themes, presenting Bitcoin as both a technological innovation and a cultural phenomenon. Each piece is crafted with meticulous precision, reflecting the concept of proof of work through time-intensive mark-making and craftsmanship.

Ariel has exhibited her work at major Bitcoin conferences and galleries, and her pieces are held in private collections as well as the Bitcoin Art Museum in Nashville, Tennessee. She continues to expand her practice through printmaking and new mediums.
